Oh Lord of the Creation, on this day of Thursday the 17th April 2008, THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF SHAN UDI, we Shan people wish to solemnly reaffirm our legal and constitutional rights to live in peace and harmony in our ancestral homeland called

THE SOVEREIGN STATE OF THE FEDERATED SHAN STATES

We also appeal to all big powers that be of the United Nations to give Shan People appropriate protection under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the UN Charter from becoming the victims of genocide under the brute force of the military generals of Burma.

If the Pacific Islanders can lay claim to their homelands in Oceanna & Pacific, there is no reason  the land locked Shan people cannot do the same under the rule of law that is enshrined in our democratic constitution as per attachment.
