Mon Oversea group met with Mr. Khun Hom Foriegn Minister of Federated Shan State for more understanding about " Shan Independence, Shan Government and the Commonwealth International Nation proposal by Shan Government in Bangkok. A Mon leader said they might form "Mon Government" as Shan and Karenni did in near future if his people were ready for such establishment. |

On this auspicious occasion of the Shan Independence (17th April 2009) ; we, the Shan Government and people of the Federated Shan States, renew our pledge and reaffirmationof our Independence and demand the immediate and unconditional withdrawals of all SPDC colonists of all stripes

Prince Sao Sur-Khan-Fa, President of Shan Government, Federated Shan States was invited to preside over the Ceremony of Karen Martyr's Day held at Saint Paul Hall of Manisota in USA. Dr. Hliang Sakong, the ENC Secretary was among the guest speakers on that day. In the ceremony, Prince Sao Surkhanfa addressed about " the Commonwealth International Nations" to the participants.
