People source: 6.05.05 373 LB troops led by Capt. Kyaw Soe Win loot villagers at Wan Maukzali, Namhu ward, Merngkerng Township . The victims are:

  1. Lung Nanda lost 1 hen, 10 egg
  2. Lung Wi lost 2 hens, 10 egg and one pair of shoe
  3. Pi Wi lost 1 hen
  4. Pi Kyaw lost 1 hen
  5. Lung Ingtha lost 4 hens
  6. Lung Lu lost 1 hen
  7. Lung lao lost one pair of shoe and one bottle of oil
  8. Nang Jang lost one pair of shoe
  9. Jai Pa Maung one pair of shoe
  10. Nang Jum 5 Visses of rice
  11. Pi Tawn lost one Tower

    All cost about 25850 Kyat

People in Muang Yai forced to supply SPDC

People source: 07.05.05 Po Mu Aung Naing , 373 LB based in Pang Phone summoned people in Muang yai to supply them 100 thatches and 200 bamboos. They not only commanded people to chop bamboos for them but also they themselves cut it to build their base. Moreover, people were ordered to send them by family use-trucks.

 
SPDC looting villagers

People source: 07.05.05 373 LB troops led by Major. Aung Naing looted properties from people. Villagers lost their properties as following:

  1. Lung Ur lost 1 motorcycle and one Pig
  2. Nang Ui lost 1 motorcycle and 2 bags of small battery
  3. Lung Hsai Kyaw lost 1 motorcycle
  4. Lung Lu lost 1 motorcycle
  5. Jai Pi lost 1 motorcyle

All the properties were looted by such a group cost about 1,500,000 Kyat.

 

 

People source: 10-11.05.05 SPDC 514LB of Khur Ung Ui base forced villager of to fence outpost for them. When their fences were completely set up people started returning home. As soon as villagers reached their homes then they were informed that they had to send 3 kilos of chicken and 1600 Kyats for returning home so early. Moreover, people in this area besides fencing them outpost, have to constantly supply them food and other necessary utilities (bamboo) for two weeks.

People were conscripted to send SPDC (514 LB) Food, 3 kilos Chicken and service without charge every day for two weeks.
 
Villagers were ordered to send SPDC troop (514 LB) three horses for carrying their victuals. Each horse cost 100,000 Kyats.

SPDC torturing and looting people

People source: 13.05.05 373 LB troops led by Capt. Kyaw Soe Win torturing and looting villagers as following:

•  Sai Muling, age 30, Maukzali village, Namhu ward, Merngkerng twonship
•  Sai Sawka, age 15, Maukzali village, Namhu ward, Merngkerng twonship
•  Sai Nyanaka, age 35, Maukzali village, Namhu ward, Merngkerng twonship
•  Lun panti from Wantarp Village ( He is a hilltribe).

All the victims mentioned above were tortured and later on were ordered to give them a big sack of rice.

 
A Burmese soldier shot his two friends dead

People source: 13.05.05, 17.00pm, a lower level-rank Burmese soldier shot the two Ethnic Soldiers dead on sport (one Chin nationality and One Karen Nationality)t. These two soldiers were shot dead on the argument ( the deterioration of Union of Burma ) which was against a Burmese soldier. He committed suicide himself to escape from the guilty.

 
Villagers tortured, looted and forced labor

People Source: 2005.05. SPDC 371,372,373 LBs were deployed in the villages (Wan Karng Oon, Wan Jaraikhum, Wan Sarng, and Wan Pang Phone for a couple weeks. They tried to search people work on a farm day time and in a village night time. People were tortured and looted for traveling to and fro. Wherever they reached they took motorcycles from villagers without return. Some villagers were conscripted to send them food and other utilities.

People source: 14.05.05 373 LB troops led by Capt. Kyaw Soe Win arrested Sai Wisingta, age 33, a villager from Wan Muong village, Wan Huay Ward of Murngkerng Township and got him for a drive. While taking them to a destination he then was hit by a big stick for driving a truck with a slow speed.

 
SPDC collected opium's tax from hill tribe

People source: SPDC troops (514), Local Police and Mayaka group held a meeting at Khur Ung Ui village and after a meeting; head villagers were called to give them tax on the same day evening. The villages were taxed:

  1. Nong Sarm Pu Ward for 100,000 kyats and one horse
  2. Loilam Ward for 400,000 kyats
  3. Nongsim Ward for 600,000 kyats
  4. Kart Phue Ward for 500,000 kyats
 
 
People forced to plough field and cultivate dry season paddy
 
People source: 2005 May, SPDC troops taking an escort around the Sadaw Bridge forced people to find them bamboos and posts. And they also got people in Panglaw Village and Sadaw villaer to plough the fields and cultivate the dry season paddy for them. Women and Children were called to clean the base and to fetch water for them without charge.
